MIA JSC CONGRATULATED THE HONORED AVIATOR T. BOSHUMOVA, DEDICATED 55 YEARS OF HER AGE TO CIVIL AVIATION OF KYRGYZSTAN

As part of the celebration of the 86th Anniversary of the founding of Civil Aviation of the Kyrgyz Republic, Manas International Airport JSC congratulated the honored aviator Tleukhor Boshumova on the Anniversary and presented a valuable gift - a watch and a ticket to one of the health resorts of Kyrgyzstan.

In 1964 55 years ago Tleukhor Boshumova joined aviation and conquered the sky of Kyrgyzstan.

“In 1959, I came to the city of Frunze. All the girls used to sew, knit, however all these activities didn’t attract me, I was drawn to the sky all the time, and I began to do parachuting. In 1964 I applied for the flight school, and they told me that the admittance was over, they would take me as an announcer, and then after a few months they would transfer me to the school. And it so happened that I became the first announcer of Civil Aviation. In 1965, I took training and became a flight attendant.” told Boshumova.

The next 17 years, T. Boshumova spent in the sky and flew over 20 thousand flight hours.

Her fruitful work was marked by the awarded honorary titles “Honored Aviator of Kyrgyzstan”, “Excellence in Culture of Kyrgyzstan”, as well as Kazakhstani and Russian awards. T. Boshumova has been a member of the Congress of Women of Kyrgyzstan for many years.

Today she is retired, but continues her beloved métier, heading the Museum of National Aviation of Kyrgyzstan, which was founded in 2003. Now the Museum is located at the Kyrgyz Aviation Institute after I. Abdraimov where her colleagues and friends gathered to congratulate the hero of the day.
